30 seconds ago- I was eating my lunch, and Yoshi was lying with his back on the mat;
30 seconds later-(after swallowing my food), Yoshi made a flip with his head looking upright.AH!
(Luckily he did it again, so I was able to tape his move. Check out his victory call afterwards.)
Tonight, Yoshi was wondering how come there are so many kids came by to see him (actually more for the candies.......). Wonder if next year Yoshi can say trick or treat yet or not.... sorry for the short clips at the end, but I didn't want other people question why I'm taping their kids.^_^
I thought this photoshot will be much more difficult as there are lots of distraction for a kid.. but luckily, Yoshi's favorite is still his "finger pacificer"...... Happy halloween
Me: "Yoshi.....Yoshi....it's time to wake up. Can't take too long nap in the evening....."
Yoshi: "Hm.......Zzzzz.........hm........Zzzz..."
Me: "Yoshi.....Yoshi.........."
Yoshi: "Huh......Zzzzz........"
Lately, Yoshi has started to make some higher pitch noise when he's excited and also calling for attention. Make sure to turn down the computer volume.....
P.s. wonder what happen to Mr.Elephant? Yoshi is no longer talking to his "friends" (Ms. Lion & Mr. Elephant), but instead, he learns to use his force to pull them down everytime.
Me & Yoshi have not been out of the house for 2 days. It's been raining, cloudy sky here. Weather used to not affect my daily routine, but now with the stroller, there are lots of restriction. Finally the sun is back, and once Yoshi wakes up from his nap in an hour, we will be out again......
Yoshi has been starting to taste different solid food. So far besides rice soup, he also tried mash carrot. According to the book, it suggests to feed baby a spoon only each day... but Yoshi managed to grab hold with the spoon for more feeding each time. Is this a sign for big eater?
There is a saying of "third time is a charm" (meaning third time will succeed), but I think in Yoshi's rice soup case, "third time is a fight"........ fighting for the spoon & fighting for more food. (sorry, I tried to edit the video to be shorter, but it takes at least 2 mins to proof my point...)
We attended our friend Akane & Todd's wedding yesterday, such a beautiful day, picture perfect. Last night, I was so so tired not only because I was holding Yoshi for a while (almost 15LB, like a bag of rice), also because I have not wore high heel shoes since I was pregnant with Yoshi. (or I should say since I was yelled by Yukie during her last Nov visit)
What are we celebrating today? No, not monthly birthday, not any particular words Yoshi can say yet......but.......his "bowel movement" (*1- see below for definition)
Lately, Yoshi's bowel movement has been very irregular. It used to be everyday routine, but then it became every 4th day.....Yes, it has became a parent's concern. In order to make an effort for success, we did all kinds of body exercise, tummy massage... I even went far beyond to teach Yoshi the "Ng.....ng.......ng...." sound, hoping to produce a force.....The phone call to the nurse gave us a suggestion to use the rectal thermometer (u can figure out the rest.......no, I have not tried yet). Still nothing happen......Untill 3:30a.m. this morning, I was given a 15sec warning wake up call, then follow by a loud thunder sound.....I jump out of bed with excitement-- "YEAH!!! Yoshi, poop poop!!!" once....twice......after cleaning up the "stool diaper" (*2 see below for definition), we both went back to sleep till 7a.m.
U must wonder why I put this on the blog.....well, I figure out it's such an important event, perfect for a Friday celebration!!!! ^_^
Here are 2 new volcabulary that I have learnt at the doctor's office:
*1 "bowel movement" = poop
*2 "stool diaper" = poopy diaper
Mom: "Does it taste that bad?!..............well too bad, you don't have any choice. We will try again tomorrow."
Yoshi: "Mom & dad, the rice soup was very thick, please try another pot next time"
This week, there are several birthdays (Jacob, Jeff, Auntie Anna & of course- GRANDMA), so Yoshi has asked uncle Henry to take him to get a celebration tattoo. Now, definitely he doesn't look like 4 months old, he's more like "DON"T MESS WITH ME, otherwise................" (Sorry daddy, hope u don't have a heart attack from this)
Yoshi & I will be going bk to Hong Kong early Dec (Nori will join us later). Luckily, uncle Henry will be flying together, so I don't have to be on my own for the first flight. Whenever Uncle Henry visit us, he & Yoshi like to practice for the upcoming big outing- like holding him, putting him on his lap.... but he has yet learned diaper change, maybe next time.... (check out Yoshi's new haircut sideview)
Yesterday (before haircut), Yoshi was invited to Jacob's 1yr old birthday (Stacy's son). He even got to meet Mia & Zack (Beth's twins). It was really fun to be outdoor again.
"Yoshi, u look different".....this was what I have been saying to him the whole night. YES, Yoshi finally got his FIRST haircut tonight. After being under the heat, and his hair going more and more wild, we have decided to do it, can no longer wait. Lucky uncle Henry got to witness this historic moment also. We have saved portion of the hair, perhaps it might come in good use when daddy gets old someday. ^_^ hee hee........ (Nori only cut the side, I was hoping the top also, but barber said those have to wait)
Today Yoshi had a little playday with Ethan again, he also got to meet a new friend- Timothy (18months) Perhaps because Yoshi & Ethan were just together this Tue, they don't need anytime to warm up with each other. Next time when they meet again, it will probably be in Hong Kong, can't wait to see how they both react in a noisy city environment.
Yoshi: "I'm confused, who's that wild hair boy in the mirror? and there is the video camera next to him...which way should I look?!?!?!"
I was suprised to find out how much interaction Yoshi had tonight, perhaps "Gup ji gup ji gup ji" does mean something to him?!?!
Yoshi got to meet Ethan again today, they are 8 months apart, but seems like they have no problem in communicating in their own language. So funny.......
