Kiharu was reluctant to get close with the water......grandpa was trying to calm down her fear....
Wonder if grandma has poured half of the bottle of suntan lotion onto Yoshi's face....hee hee...
May, your plane was there with us too.....
It's ALWAYS snack time for her, no matter where or when....

Beach outing- Part I: Breakfast first

After waiting for so long, finally we got a break on weather. Though it was very hot, but at least no rain.... My parents' apartment complex were under major construction outside. The noise is too much for all of us, we felt like we have to be out the house before 9a.m (the construction began from 9 till 5). That gave us a reason to have breakfast outside for the first time.....

Yoshi said "the eggs were so yummy" ..... wonder what's the difference than our normal eggs?! ^_^

Dragonboat Festival

Today is 端午節. One of the highlight is the Dragonboat Festival. I have never seen the actual race before, only on TV. I was excited that Yoshi has recovered from all the sickness and able to attend the 沙田龍舟競賽. There were lots of people, but we managed to find a river view spot to see the race.  It was a new experience for the kids (& I), they put lots of efforts cheering the teams.

Well........after almost 45 mins, I think someone is getting tired/ bored.......(in between the races) (photo is perfect in expressing than words....)
It's time to go. What a fun experience!! (Thanks Henry & Ah Sze for the suggestion ^_^)

Finally...

After staying home for few days straight, today we finally go to take a walk at the park. Yoshi does not have anymore fever, and his energy level is back. Having a healthy child is priceless for sure.

Just as Yoshi is almost back to normal, Kiharu starts to have running nose. Hope that's it for the sickness round. Hang in there little ones. Thanks everyone for your care and support. ^_^

Sickness

On Monday morning, Yoshi woke up with a slight fever. We took him to doctor and got some medicine. But the fever got much higher the next day, almost 104 degree. We had to go back to visit doctor and confirmed he has Strep Throat. He was very tired yesterday, but he was a really good kid. He put on his mask and take medicine as told. He never fuzz or cranky.

Just as we thought his fever was gone with the sweat this morning, and he was having a much better day, painting, playing ping pong in the house, the fever came back tonight- 102 degree.... I know it will take some time, hope little by little, it will get easier. Hang in there my little guy. Sweet dream.....

During this few days when Yoshi was sick, Kiharu totally tries to do many things to get your attention, or at least to let me know she demands for attention......I can't even describe what she did, but perhaps with more people in the house, she KNOWS she can get it..... I tried to fulfill her demand when I can, I know she is only 2 yrs old, she is only asking for more love and care. I'm only glad grandparents are here for extra help....thank you.

Blog friends

On Sunday, we were invited to our friend's house for a gathering. Though we only met once a year or even longer, but through each others' blogs, we seem to know a lot about everyone. Yoshi & Kiharu had lots of fun at the gathering, they have not had access to so many toys for a while. Thanks Rafael, Heather & Takumi for sharing your toys. ^_^
 The blog writers...
Well, unfortunately, this morning Yoshi woke up with a fever. I tried giving him potsicle, but he complained it's too cold.. anyway, hope his body can fight with the sickness and recover soon. Goodnight my dear....
On the other hand, Kiharu enjoyed hers very much......(of course)

Train ride

One of the best thing about Hong Kong is the public transportation. For rainy day like today, nothing plan, what's better than going for a train ride. I took the kids out on my own, getting onto a bus heading to train station. I had nothing plan, but eventually getting off at one of the station, and had lunch there.  Even though it was raining, but we didn't even have to use the umbrella once. It's a great way to spend few hours.
The second best about Hong Kong got to be having bakery stores everywhere. So even if kids weren't in the mood of rice or noodle, they can always enjoy all different kinds of delicious bread at anytime (without having to wait for bread machine)

Otousan, happy birthday!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY OTOUSAN!!!!!
We miss you!! xoxoxo

"Team Yoshi" --- actually those are Yoshi's underwear from 2 yrs ago. It's such a hot day, so I took off their clothes while waiting in parking lot. Perhaps Yoshi shouldn't be wearing those anymore, as it's getting much smaller.....and it's also slightly bigger for Kiharu....and yes, I already got new ones for Yoshi this summer....^_^

Kiharu ran out of things to do in the car while waiting in parking lot, I guess she has created her own gym.

Ocean Park- an unusual visit

I have been to Ocean Park many times, but this past weekend was very different. Thanks to Uncle Henry's arrangment, we got to experience the park in a very unique way.

We didn't do any rides or visit any exhibitions, we spent 2 hours getting to know more about their dolphins.

This had to be the highlight for Yoshi- touching dolphin

The dolphin was even being trained to take photos with the visitors.

There are still so many things to do in the park, but we will be back again VERY soon.
Thanks Uncle Henry & Ah Sze for arranging such a unique visit for us, very fun.
