He's better now

Thanks everyone for your concern, Yoshi is much better now. His energy is back to normal after a long nap this afternoon.

Well, it all happened last night right before dinner time. It all came so fast. One minute, he was singing to the music with stiffy nose; the next minute, he lost his energy, and no appetite. Luckily Nori was able to come home right away to take care Kiharu, so we could go to doctor office.

When we got there, Yoshi had hives all over his body, he was scratching all over. So doctor gave him medicine right away which was a relieve. It was almost 9:15p.m when we left, the doctor was really nice, spending time in observing Yoshi's progress before letting us go.

Yoshi had a blood test for allergy today, will know result in a week. However, we are suspecting it might be caused by the Reese's peanut butter cup chocolate that he "stole" yesterday. About an hour before dinner, Yoshi "stole" the easter chocolate on the table, despite my strong warning, he took a quick bite before I grabbed it back, followed by punishment and crying.... He never really exposed much to peanut butter (maybe one or two sandwich before, but with no negative reaction). The funny part was, at the doctor office, I told Yoshi "it must be the chocolate that you ate...." (he had a shock face) "so next time, you have to ask mom first" "HM!!!!!!" I think someone just learnt a lesson on his own.

As for Kiharu.......not to mention her crying while I was trying to comfort Yoshi (huh....). But after I drove away off with Yoshi to see doctor, Nori said at one point, Kiharu was tapping at the garage door, wondering if me and Yoshi were outside.

Well, I think Yoshi is fine now. He's ready to go golf with Nori tomorrow.......

Slowly getting used to it

She is slowly getting used to the hairband.....I mean at least that would stay on her head for more than 3 mins, enough to take a few photos.

(婆婆, do u recognize the flower shirt? Thank you.)

Happy Easter

Yesterday, Yoshi had a Easter party at his school. The parents were able to join after the second half of the school session. Each of them were given cookies to decorate and juice pack....SUGAR HIGH!! Yoshi kept sipping on the juice.

Normally, siblings are not allowed to participate in the classroom activities, but because I had to help hiding easter eggs, so I took Kiharu with me. From this photo, can u imagine her going to school very soon? they grow too fast.... (or do u see "Ms. Curiousity" here?)

A week earlier, the teacher asked me to be in charge of the party. So the night before, with the BIG help from Otousan Nori, we stuffed toys and candies inside these 72 eggs. The teacher had a great idea to mark names on each eggs, so the kids would have equal amount (important!!), and learnt too recognize their own names. It was a fun game.

It's over, time to line up back to classroom. Each day, kids rotate their duties. Yoshi got to be the "doorman" yesterday- holding onto the doors for everyone...but most time he forgot and needed reminder.

Happy Easter. (I only let him opened these during Kiharu's nap time. Can u imagine if she was around all these TINY things on the floor?)

Annual family protrait

Every April, the trees in our neighbourhood blossom, it's a very pretty scene. And taking family photo has became our tradition. Now looking back, it's quite funny. Wonder how many more years will our kids be willing to walk with us and take photos together.

Wouldn't let go

It's been a while since the last update. Just as I thought I am going to get it done tonight, Kiharu wouldn't let me go. I've been back and forth to her room 3+ times, right after I escaped each time, she cried, realizing I was gone.....Otousan is home, she was holding on to him so much. Let's see if Otousan can perform any sleeping beauty magic or not....go to sleep our little girl.....Zzzzzz

Respect

These past few weeks, I have been busy with organizing the fundraising event, click HERE for more information. We had a great success last Sunday. But it's not over yet, we are still working on a few ideas. I love what I'm doing. Before kids, I used to think my dream job would be some sort of event planning/ organizing type. So doing a fund raising event is what I'm interest in.

However, being a stay at home mom and wife, it's not easy. I can't do this without the patience and support of my family. Sometimes I feel guilty not being able to spend enough time with Yoshi, but luckily Kiharu keeps him busy. I definitely have a whole new respect to all the working moms. After a long day of work, with dinner, kids, bathtime, bedtime...not to mention the occasional sickness=sleepless nights..... you are super moms for sure.

A girl that LOVES to eat

Kiharu definitely LOVES to eat. She eats well, except wouldn't sit quite well. But it's getting better. Now she can feed herself with spoon, only if you can tolerate the messy cleanup afterwards. And when it comes to snack time, she walks so fast, almost like sliding on the floor towards the snack table. Even Yoshi has learnt to "protect" his snack bowl right after his neighbour finished hers....
