We can all help

Last night, me and Nori was watching a story reported on Dateline news. It was about a father (David) losing his child (Sean) 4 years ago when his wife took him away (abducted) back to her home country in Brazil. Since then, he is still fighting to get his son back. The story has lots of twist and turn. As a mother myself, I can't imagine losing Yoshi suddenly, and the pain of not being able to see him, that's should not be the struggle any parents should have to go thru. I can't sleep last night, can't stop thinking about this father and his son.

Click HERE (Scroll down to Jan 26 blog and see the video clip from MSNBC Dateline) to see a preview of the news report we saw last night. As to the story development, the mother passed away right after she gave birth to her 2nd child with another man in Brazil. And when everyone thought Sean will be given back to his biological father- David in US, the stepfather had filed custody on Sean, not allowing David to see him. So the fight is still going on....

I hope by posting this story here on our blog will help to spread the words, and if u have time, please go and sign the online petition. And may this story also bring us closer to our children.

Snow is melting.....

Me and Yoshi have been stuck at home for the 4th day straight. I wonder if I will still remember how to drive?! Luckily he's still interest in his toys. So for the 12 hrs period, besides one short nap, we are just playing, eating, starring at each other....at today's afternoon tea time, I asked Yoshi to share his snacks with me, and....... (I felt some resistance....)

SNOW~~~~~~~~~~~

So after 2 days of snow and ice, we are finally getting a break and enjoy the winter wonderland (maybe just for a little bit before we all became frozen) This was what I saw when garage door opened As soon as Yoshi went for the nap, my shuffling work began. Oh my...it felt like there was no ending. Nori, I only got your side done (sort of) as Yoshi woke up after just an hr nap. (We can't wait for u to come back tomorrow, we miss u) This is the first snow storm since Yoshi was able to walk. Last year, he was just being held by us. So he was kind of excited when seeing all these white "stuff", soft and slushy... Actually I wasn't prepare for Yoshi's snow outfit, he doesn't have snow boot or snow pants. So he was only allowed to stay for a few mins outside. Actually, I took him back inside right after he fell and sit right on a puddle of melted snow...... so u wonder what kept him warm? 3 pairs of pants + 2 pairs of socks + 3 long sleeves + jacket. It's warm enough for him to get a glimse of winter wonderland. (backyard) I love this tight pants we got in Hong Kong. Kept him warm as part of the 3 pants he wore outside. (sorry Mr. Panda, u had to be in that "position")

Snow & more snow

This morning, we woke up with piles of snow everywhere, winter wonderland. We are suppose to have a 2nd round of snow storm tonight, so we might get a total of about 8-10" of snow. Too bad I didn't get Yoshi a pair of snow boot yet, otherwise, he might be able to enjoy being outside.

Me: "Yoshi, 雪" (=snow, pronounce as "shu")
Yoshi: "Shit"
Me: "No no...it's 雪"
Yoshi: "Shit..shit..."
(photos from last wk)
(photos from today) Yoshi, are u eating the snow? (yogurt)
At the beginning of the day before Yoshi's adventure.....
At the end of the night, after Yoshi went to bed.......

My biggest supporter/ follower

Now that we have fully recovered from jet lag and back to our daily routines, creative mind set is slowly coming back as well. This night, I set out all his railroad tracks on the floor, hoping to "detour" Yoshi from the kitchen back to his play area......so who is my biggest supporter (clapped hands when I did a good job) & biggest follower (followed me everywhere)?!

Later that night when Nori came home, he set up his own creative activities for Yoshi, not bad N ori!!! Good job!!

Welcome to Skype

What's Yoshi looking at?
"Peeka........."

(from the other side of the world.....) (photo courtesy from "Mr. H", real name to be kept secret)
We have installed Skype (thanks again to Mr. H's help) , so now, Yoshi and grandparents can see each other on screen. I think sometimes it's more fun to watch the grandparents' performance....^_^ (I know, I know, by now, grandma probably is saying "how could u take & post our photos on blog!!"....hee hee...why not?!)
Ojiichan & Junko-san, maybe u should install the webcam also, so Yoshi can say hi to u all too.
