Different positions

Lately, Yoshi likes to lay on his stomach while playing, so relaxed.
Or starring
He certainly has the Chinese genes and know how to squat

4 big steps finally

So Yoshi has finally made the big steps on his own. I remember watching Rafael's first walking steps (Amy, hope u don't mind me putting this link), he was walking towards his mommy. HOWEVER, no matter how me and Nori tried to have Yoshi walk to us, didn't work. We have to use "artificial bait"- cell phone. (the 2nd bait option that proof to be working- TV remote control). Oh well, at least he's finally making his big steps on his own....YEAH!! Go Go Yoshi!!

Storytime

Today we met up with Stacy and her kids- Jacob & Kayla at the bookstore for storytime. Didn't realize there was special event going on, it was so crowded.

Instead of listening to story telling, both boys prefer to play with the train table.
Hi Kayla, your hair has grown much longer
Special guest- "Franklin" ........(Franklin who?! I think I'm the only one never heard of him before. All the kids were so excited)

Laughing at himself

The other night, I played the "Alcohol Milk" video blog to Yoshi. He certainly recognized himself and was making fun of his silly laugh...

Strangers

We were about to leave the house. After putting Yoshi inside the car, I was shocked to find these strangers cruising inside the garage, they must have came in really quick while I was busy with Yoshi's car seat. During their 2 mins stay, left behind poops and pees.....Yikes!!!

Daddy fun

What would you do?

Here is the scenario:

Saturday at 8:30a.m, while preparing breakfast (Yoshi woke us up really early that morning), there was a knocking on the front door (yes, it's knocking, not ringing door bell, who knows why?!). There was this young man standing few steps away from the door, with a nice morning greeting, waiting to give his sales speech...........what would you do if you are the one who opened the door?

If it's me (mama), I would say "Can I help you?"............."Sorry, I'm not interest, thanks. Have a good day."......make it short. All he could remember me probably was just the head part, because I would only leave door 20 degree opened................

BUT..........that guy was lucky, because it's NORI that "entertained" them that morning, and here was the highlight:

- "Knock knock...." (front door)

- Nori: "I will go and check it out"

- then he came bk "are u interest in letting this educator comes in to give us some information?"

- "HECK NO!!" so he went back out to relate my response.

- ...........3 mins pass...."where's Nori?!" (as I wondered)

- then I looked thru the peephole, there was Nori chatting with this young man (not educator, but teenage working for summer part time job perhaps)

- ...........another minute passed, then Nori showed up with the bourches..

- "he's selling these books, and I tried to tell him we are not interest, but he insisted me to show you..."

- ?!?!?!?! "NO, we are not interest, and why are you still out there chatting?!"..... "Oh wait!! let me take a photo of this, so I can put on blog"

- and there he went back to relate my response again. (I'm sure at this point, that young man was picturing me as a mean wife....haha)

-..........another minute passed, Nori finally showed up for breakfast.

~~~~~~~~~~~Nori stepped out for a while in the afternoon. Then that night, he asked:
- "Has that guy (the young man) returned?"
- ?!?! "Why would he?"
- "I told him we are not interest in his books, but he insisted to come back and show u when u are available, so I told him maybe around 5p.m."
- "WHAT?!?!?!?!?! why would I be interest in talking to him if I insisted NO this morning. Why didn't you just say we are not available and please don't come back"
......................hm...........well, up till now, that young man never return, and hope the story remain as-is. It was definitely the highlight of the morning and a great topic for the blog. Thanks Nori.
Alcohol milk?
Last night, me & Yoshi were home alone. While he was having his milk before bedtime, I was eating my dinner right next to him. Wasn't paying attention until I hear the sound "HEA!!". Yoshi was trying to get my attention. Then when I turn around, he laughed so hard. Obviously he was playing with his bottle as well. So in return to get his attention, I "HEA!!" at him as well. (u might wonder if I have accidentally add some alcohol into his milk?!)
Otoosan (Daddy)
Everyday, the highlight for Yoshi is to see Nori's home from work. From the moment he heard the garage door opens, his whole body would become very tense & excited. As soon as Nori appears, little Yoshi would become an errupted volcano full of happiness.
Bookstore fun
Bookstores here are very nice, they always have a children's corner, with lots of chairs and toys. Perfect for moms who ran out of activity ideas- just bring kids in there, and spend few hrs of free air conditioning and reading fun. The best part for Yoshi, he got to socialize with other kids too (perhaps in a curious way).
Mini golfer?
Yoshi: "KK&PP, thanks for the new shoes. It happened to match my polo shirt yesterday. Mama said I look like about to join Otoosan to play golf..."
First pair of shoes
Today's weather was much nicer, so I took Yoshi out after lunch. We stopped by visiting Nori & delivered snack pack. Then we head out to this play area- Highfield Discovery Center. It's a cute little place, stroller friendly. And for the first time, Yoshi wore his first pair of shoes and play, just like the other kids......
Tree house behind, soon Yoshi will play hide and seek up there.
Oh, excuse me Yoshi, put your feet down......
Tata....."Yoshi's first pair of shoes" (don't ask how much.....)
He looks so much grown up in this photo Never seen green beans grow like that....
Uncle Henry photographer, how's my photos here? semi-pro?!
(P.s.- for those who have given shoes to Yoshi as gift before, might wonder why first pair of shoes wasn't any of yours......sorry, unfortunately none of those fit him. They are either too tiny or too big for right now when he's ready to walk....that's why we had to buy him a new pair. Hopefully, someday those shoes will fit our #2 kid. THANK YOU)
Kiss kiss
Mama: "Yoshi, Otoosan (daddy) kiss kiss"
Yoshi: "Hm......." (his kissing sound with wide open lips)
Choo choo train....
Today, we took Yoshi to this new place call Enter"T"rainment Junction, inside has a huge display of trains, just like a mini city. Yoshi (& Nori) seems to enjoy a lot in watching those trains running above and below him, couldn't keep his head still. Although he has not been playing with trains at all, but it's the wheels again that kept him fascinated. It's really a fun place, and glad to have spend some quality family time together.
