6 months old
I think Yoshi's facical expression tells all.................Today is Yoshi's 6 months check up. This time, I'm alone with him, so no video. He was doing fine at the doctor office, but then the rest of the day at home, perhaps he missed daddy + pain after shot, he cried a lot....Hug is the only way to stop him from crying, and daddy's hug tonight- even brought back smile.....
His check up is fine, doctor said his weight gain is a bit slow, he's only 15.2LB (= a bag of Japanese rice weight) but don't worry, I'm sure he will gain more weight this coming month with grandma's yummy food....
I'm tired, very tired.........goodnight everyone.

Happy Thanksgiving
Since Thursday off, we have been enjoying more family time. Nothing much particular, just more play time for Yoshi with daddy. We also have few visitors yesterday- uncle Henry, Joe, LokMan & her bf. It's been nice for Yoshi to see more people, preparing for the upcoming trip back to HK & JP. Yoshi has been talking a LOT more and louder, hope he knows how to keep quiet on the plane when lights off.......oh, he did has his 2nd haircut today. Well, photos to follow later. Happy Thanksgiving.
(p.s. I still have not start packing yet, just don't know where to begin....)

Clockwise turn
This past few days, Yoshi kept waking up at 6a.m. I tried to be a patient audience, watching him with half of my sleepy eyes opened, hoping he would fall back to sleep. But at the end, I had to reveal myself and helped him to rotate back to his original position, and that's when he realized "milk truck" arrived.....and followed by loud hungry call.......
Hanging out with girls
We had dinner with Tonya & her twin girls- Zoe & Sedona last night. Yoshi had a GREAT time with the girls. Does he look like he can stand up on his own?? He even burped while playing with the girls. Fun fun fun.

Happy Yoshi & Ottoosan. (I set up the camera position early this afternoon. Then tonight when I heard the garage door open, I turned on the camera and held Yoshi by the entrance......Yoshi must be so happy to see Nori came home, that he didn't even notice the camera)

Yoshi: "Mommy, is daddy home yet?" (thru baby language translation)
Me: "No not yet. Not today Yoshi."
Yoshi: "oh no..... I miss having TV bonding time with daddy"
Me: "Yoshi, you weren't suppose to watch TV anyway."
Yoshi: "Oh....DADDY, WHERE ARE UUUUU??? COME HOME SOON!!!!"
(check out Yoshi's head, not only he can lift up, but can turn sideway also.....)

Daddy, we miss u
Nori left to Las Vegas for work this morning and won't be back till Thurs night. It's his first long trip away since Yoshi was born. Every night, Nori would carry the sleepy Yoshi upstairs to bed. But tonight, Yoshi fell asleep with his new friend and me by the side. He misses his daddy's hug.... please come home soon.....goodnight everyone.

Playtime has turned into crying time
I was refering to the book on what I can do with Yoshi at home, kind of like exercise/ play time. But the result wasn't a happy relationship like the photos above, instead......Yoshi was crying hysterically with tear drops on his face.......see below photo.
So what happen:
- Problem #1 from the first exercise: even though Yoshi's neck is much stronger and can stay up, but there are not enough space for his legs on my lap & he won't sit still. What worse is his kung fu kick, oh my stomach................
- Problem #2 from the second exercise: first I lay down, then try to hold and balance the baby on top, that's a challenge. Not only did I almost slip Yoshi from my body, I'm basically forcing him to lie down on a rough surface....no way a 5 month old baby is going to lay still.......and putting him which = the weight of a bag of rice on my stomach, that wasn't comfortable either.
HUH........there goes the crying Yoshi..................

Magic trick
The Power of Hunger
2 weeks ago, Nori has started to teach Yoshi to hold the bottle with my support. And tonight, he proved that he can do it on his own without any help. That bottle is pretty wide base and had 7 oz of milk in it. Very soon, he might be able to fix his own food too..... (in case u wonder, I'm still breastfeeding, but he has a bottle of formula every night)
