Yoshi is a healthy baby

The first 2 months of Yoshi's life, he was fed with expressed breastmilk & formula, for many reasons, I didn't think breastfeeding is possible. However, I gave another try after 2 months, happy to say, we are doing very well. I do give a bottle once every night. But just like most breastfed mommy, I do worry about how this change affect him, always wonder if he has enough milk, especially now that he sucks his fingers, I always get confusing signals from him. So, I took Yoshi for a weight check. He is 14LBs (6350 gm) today, 70 percentile. The nurse reassure me that he is doing great, a very healthy baby. The only thing is the nurse initially thought Yoshi is a girl, because of his hair.....^_^ Now, I'm worry free.......

I'm American

Yoshi got his passport today, love his passport photo which Uncle Henry took. So I guess we can say, our family is like a United Nation now........

First grocery trip on our own

Didn't think I could lift the car seat with heavy Yoshi onto the grocery cart, so using a creative way, I was able to hook up a recycle bag to the stroller, and it also limit the space of buying unnecessary junk food...^_^ (May- pls thank your mom for the hook; Grandma- we did use the recycle bag u sewn for us...) As for the gallons of milk or diapers, those will have to wait for weekend trip with daddy...

Hello Zoe & Sedona

Today we met up with my friend Tonya & Victor and their lovely girls for lunch. I must say, they are very good future babysitter, they certainly know how to rock the stroller and calm Yoshi while he was patiently waiting to be fed. Good job girls.

Tears

Yoshi loves taking a bath, playing with water. For the first time, we put him in the big tub, but we caught him at the wrong time, he was very sleepy and hungry, not in the mood for water. Check out the real tears, on both eyes!!!!!

Yoshi's new toy

Yoshi got a new mobile toy from my friend Beth, he seems to be extremely interest in this. (Beth, you are so right, not just Mia & Zack love it, Yoshi does too) See the difference in Yoshi's position and his blanket also.... I guess he was upset later on because he was stuck with his legs and cannot further complete his 360 degree turn....hee hee

Stroller ride

Last Thursday, Yoshi got to meet Jacob, Mitch & their moms- Stacy & Danielle, along w/ Jane & Beth. It was such a fun lunch gathering, see how nosy Yoshi was... and the best part was me and Stacy finally fulfilled our long time dream of pushing the strollers around the mall, just like the other moms.....

Yoshi got this new pajama outfit as gift. It meant to be for 3-6 months. But he is definitely fitting well. However, I don't think he likes being wrap up with his feet....he keeps moving and moving. Don't these photos look like he is performing some kind of invisible wire stunt?!

We are back

It's been a bit hetic here with different houseworks, cooking, changing diapers, bathing, feeding, storytime, karaoke... seems like there aren't much time left to sit in front of computer. We miss you all...........

What the heck?!

Yoshi fell asleep on the chair while we were having dinner last night. He was such a light sleeper, the funniest was at the end when he woke up with the camera right in front of him, and he must be wondering "what the heck was that?! taping me while I'm sleeping?!?!?!".............

Storytime

Each day, besides feeding, changing diapers, sleeping & karaoke signing, we try to spend some storytime together. Today is Curious George storytime.

Strong bones

Yoshi's bones are getting stronger each day. He's yet to walk or crawl, but wait till u try one of his kung fu kick with his legs....Ouch!! Nori have him try sitting up by the corner the other night, his neck is still not fully supporting yet, but I'm sure very soon, we will find him sitting next to daddy watching TV........ (please excuse him for showing off his diaper) ^_^

Like father like son

This weekend, we spent family time in attending a British car show in a park, with Nori's Land Rover being part of the display. There were at least 100 cars there. I think Yoshi can't wait to own one of those little vintage mini cooper.
(P.s. was it windy or what, Yoshi's hair style seems to go upwards.....)

How tall is Yoshi?

Yoshi is only 2.5 months old, but seems like this changing station will soon be too tight for him, no wonder nurse said "he's tall/long"

Ok, since we got such a great response to the previous farting topic, thought to share this video clip with you. But 2 things: a) warning advice: watch after meal is better; b) turn volumn up. There is no explicit scene, but check out Yoshi's non-guilty look on his face, he even took a deep breath, seems like such a big relief to him....hee hee.

My new boss

My new job- home alone with Yoshi in the daytime

My new boss- Mr. Yoshitaka, his characteristics:

- "moody": usually in great mood after he woke up in morning and after each meals. But when he is hungry, no sweet talk would calm him down.

- "impolite": farting without advance notice.

- "demanding": do not give his employee (me) lunch hrs, and needs constant attention.

But the best benefit of this new job: his smile and his foreign language (like E.T. talking..)

Hello, wei wei, moshi moshi

Now that grandparents are back home, everytime when Yoshi is in good mood, he will call and talk to them. He seems to understand very well what grandma was talking about at that moment.....
