Summer memories- Part I: Glass museum in Nagano, Japan.

While we were in Japan, we took a mini trip to Nagano. Thanks to Aunt Junko, we made an interesting stop at the glass museum. They had a kid's corner with different hands on activities.

 Let's start with the easiest activity for little Kiharu- it's nothing related to glass though. She got to pick those colorful thing (paper, plastic stuff....) into the kaleidoscope. Fun for her little fingers.

 Then was the older kids turn - making decorative jar (or candles if prefer to add candle wick)....who said it's free, but worth to do something different, it's cute...

 First, they picked the color sand for the base

 ...then picked 3 of those mini glass beads (of course u can pick more.....more $$)

 ...the last step is to wait for an hour to let the hot wax cool down....it's one of the most expensive candle we have, but definitly the most beautiful & memorable one. It was a very fun activity.
