News Flash~~
Today Yoshi has a (10th month) weight check at doctor office, just to make sure he's back on track: 18LB 5oz =8307gm), he gained 1LB 8oz (=681gm) in a month. Doctor is satisfy with the gain, though Yoshi is still in a low percentile range, but he is doing well.
Yoshi was being invited to Oliver's first birthday. It's was a lot of fun seeing the boys again.
Do u think anyone will believe both of these are my twins?

It's been a while since we have such a nice weather. So me and Yoshi spent some quality time together. We started shopping in Babies R Us, stocking up diaper & formula, then followed by lunch at Panera (grandpa/ma, your favorite) & grocery trip. The biggest achievement of the day: Yoshi sit in the shopping cart for the first time, instead of stroller. He was pretty excited and kept moving left & right. At the end of the grocery trip, he was very tired and just lay his head on the cusion.....
All the toys are within his reach, watch out.

Stock market update: HORRIBLE!!!! Yoshi cannot look at his lab top anymore, all he can do is to look at the mirror of himself instead, wondering if he should sell or buy more stocks...I always think Yoshi & Ethan are much like buddies, if we left them alone, perhaps they could be partners in crime..^_^ Yoshi had a fun playtime with Ethan today. Can't wait for him to be able to walk, so we can go to park soon. As soon as Ethan left, Yoshi fell asleep within 10 mins.

I think both Yoshi & Nori wish they could buy the comfy chairs and sit in front of TV together. This is such a cute little kids version.
We have finally lowered the crib, as little monkey is now able to sit up on his own, there are even few times able to push himself to stand up against the gate...oh no!! This morning when I woke up, he was sitting in the crib and quietly watching me, waiting for the milk truck....it's pretty cute though.
No more sippy cup....but many times, he is still playing with the cup instead of drinking....

HAPPY 1 year anniversary to this blog!!!! ^_^ hee hee....(u might be thinking...."Huh"??)
This blog is one of the best thing we did (thanks Sandy & Uncle Henry from the beginning). This blog does not only serve as a communication tool to the outside world, but also be able to share all the happiness we have with Yoshi. With most our families and friends living far away, it was very important for me (& Nori) to let everyone still feel close to Yoshi. The first smile, the first word, the first teeth, the first crawl/roll, even the first farting....I want to be able to share. Although we cannot be with you always, but at least this is what I (we) could do, hope Yoshi has brought great happiness and laugh in your life. Blogging is a diary for me. There are certainly lots of late nights, trying to keep up with the blog, and there are times I find myself looking forward in sitting in front of the computer, to sum up the funny things happen that day with Yoshi.....it's my own little imaginary world.
However, the biggest reason that keeps me writing more and more, is because of you all (including u, Otoosan Nori). I know this might sounds like an Oscar / Grammy Award Speech, but it's true. Knowing there are so many people that cares about little Yoshi, wants to share your love to him, makes me want to return the same. I (we) truely wants to THANK YOU all. Thanks for checking this blog, thanks for leaving us comments (which is something that we always look forward to read back), and most important, thanks for sharing everything about Yoshi.

Tonight, we were invited to our neighbour's house (the Arnesen's family). Katie- 5yrs old, is such a great sister, she was trying to show Yoshi all the different toys, making him laugh. Grant- 6mths old, is smiling a lot, and even shared some baby talk with Yoshi. We will definitely be having more playtime from now on. Happy Yoshi.

Yoshi is crawling forward finally!!! But with selective target in sight only, not to mama, not to Ootosan, not to the door....but....................................(hint: like father like son)

Yoshi was extra happy because he was able to visit Nori at lunch time, got to play with daddy. Today was a picture perfect sunny day, as u can tell from their facial expression. ^_^
Look into Yoshi's pupil, u can see the bright sunny day window view............wonder if his little world is full of imagination? colorful? what is he thinking? so pure, so innocent, so lovely, and so much to grow.
(P.s.- yesterday, Yoshi had his first eye check thru a free program call Infantsee (infantsee.org). The optometrist said he is fine, except his left eye is smaller than right eye.....really?! never notice as they are both big like mine...)
We went to Detroit, Michigan on Sun for overnight stay. The purpose was to visit the Japanese Embassy there. It was a 4 hr car ride, Yoshi did pretty good, perhaps because one of us was sitting at the back seat with him, so we were able to play and sleep together. This was also the first hotel overnight stay with him. The king size bed certainly feels like twin size for me and Nori. I do wonder someday when we have our #2 kid, how will the sleeping arrangement be?! Now after this mini trip, I think we are ready to conquer the other places. (finally all the past travel magazines subscription are back to interest...)
Now when we go to restaurants, Yoshi is sitting on the highchair by himself, no more carrying the heavy car seat. And we can all have our meals at the same time...(but not for long before he dropped the bottle on the floor and need our assistance)

He looks bigger now as he can sit on his own in the high chair...Can't sit still at all, time for serious table/sitting manner training
(Side note: Before we left for the trip, we found out there were 2 visitors in our backyard, don't know where did they come from. They stayed for 2 nights perhaps, and left this afternoon. Maybe they were here to baby sit our house while we were gone....)
It's about time to lower the mattress & to add the protecting guard to the crib before the woodpecker starts his action.

The little "stinker" refused to eat the organic carrot again....(despite daddy's hard forcing tectic either) We have one more leftover portion to fight again tomorrow.
I was just telling grandma this morning that Yoshi eats anything that I feed him, but I guess I spoke too soon....
Battle #1- "Orange Juice"
Weapon: Sippy cup
Detail: Yoshi refused to drink from sippy cup. I went from the "sweet talk", patience & ignore tetics, to hard forcing, still didn't work. Yoshi kept putting his hands in front of his mouth, and turning his head against the high chair (when did he learn all these moves?).......
Result: "Win win"- I won because he end up drinking all the juice; he won because it's not from sippy cup, but the bottle........
Battle #2- "Homemade ORGANIC Mashed Carrot"
Weapon: Spoon
Detail: Yoshi somehow refused to eat the carrot after first bite. It's strange, because he ate before and he likes the sweet taste perhaps. The only differences are this is not from jar, and it's more expensive organic carrot...(what a waste of my impulse organic purchase). I even mix with the left over squash baby food, thought it might help to spice up his interest.....(yeah right!) Same tectics applied as above, with same refusal!!
Result: He won! I gave up after seeing him covered with food (definitely him with lots of hair and long eye lashes, makes the messy level twice as bad) So I switched to back up baby food- green pea....yikes!! but he ate all.
