Yoshi's one month birthday is tomorrow, but we celebrated his 4 wks old during the weekend. Events included:
After 3 weeks of constant feeding, burping, changing diapers, I started to feel like having a life size "tamagotchi" with me. Yoshi basically has his own routine feeding schedule, almost like every 2-3 hrs. Then we burp him, follow by changing diapers, then he will fall back to sleep. He is at the age when trying to develop eye contact, not much interaction yet, and he smiles on his own. So don't you think he's like a "tamagotchi"?? ^_^
Today Yoshi has his 3rd weight check since birth. He's doing so well that the nurse was even amazed with his progress.
This past Sat, we had a little celebration at our place- Nori's 36th & Yoshi's 2nd week birthday. We had a family BBQ outing at the backyard, and for the first time Yoshi got to go out there for little breath of fresh air and see what both grandpa's have planted for us. Then we had a homemade birthday cake as dessert. Check out Yoshi's outfit on the photo, it's made by my friend Spence, using Nori's truck image, what a suprise from Yoshi to daddy....^_^
"Sleep" is what all of 3 of us are thinking about constantly........
Yoshi has been here with us for 9 days already. Still hard to believe he had been living inside my tummy for the past 10 months. Days went by so fast. Me and Nori are still "slowly" adjusting to this new parenthood lifestyle. I'm not sure where to begin in describing what our daily schedule is (if there is any). Seems like each day is fill with feeding, watching baby sleep, changing diapers, burping, trying to figure out how much Yoshi wants to eat, why is he suddenly smiling and suddenly crying, he has so much facial expressions ...... Though I have heard so much about lack of sleep, but not till we experience ourselves, that we realize, it's the hardest adjustment (especially we are so used to sleeping for at least 10 hrs NONSTOP in the weekend.....) I no longer sleep with battery functioned alarm clock, but instead I have "Yoshi manual clock".
