Our garden

Two years ago, both grandpas had helped to set up the garden area in our backyard. Last year, my parents were here during summer and were able to provide us with great harvest. This year, we are on our own. After a month of planting, vegetables are finally growing (& growing...I think we were a bit over agressive in our little garden space....). We actually didn't realize some of the plants would be that huge....

This little doggie barks EVERYTIME when we are out there at the garden. U would think by now, he should recognize us, especially Yoshi......but guess what, when he/she sees Yoshi holding the water hose, he/she would run away, far far away, because he got wet before (being too close while Yoshi was trying to 'aim' at the garden)
This is a video of Yoshi from a while ago when he first got hold with the water hose. He was more like a fire fighter instead (oh my water bill). He is now doing much better in controlling the hose and aiming at the garden, he has so much fun each time (& got himself completely soak)

the climate in where we live is windy and quite cool, even in summer time. Do you think spring onion can grow under this climate? Charlene loves spring onion, really love love love.

Amy- if u are really interest, maybe u should look into the organic farmland in HK. My parent are renting a space in one of the organic farm, and they go in there every other few days, or u can even just go once a wk. It's in Sai Kung. U can try for 3 months for fun....http://www.hkgardenfarm.org/modules.php?name=Sections&op=viewarticle&artid=40

Cecilia, it's definitely worth to try the green onion in a pot for u. They are so EASY to grow. I bought those little bundle of green onion bulb, they are very cheap. And in less than a month, the grow so fast. And it comes in handy when cooking. Definitely worth to try. Good luck.
